Sorting items within a Category: when will mobile match desktop/online?

Square finally made it possible to arrange items within a category...except items within a category still only appear in alphabetical order on Square mobile POS app, no matter what sorting order has been saved when rearranging the items within a category at squareup.com.

Sorting within categories and sorting categories has been a pretty basic request for over 5 years now...Square still doesn't offer it completely or consistently across all platforms.

Hello @250986  – I understand how important consistency across platforms is for managing your items efficiently, and I recognize the need for this functionality to be uniform across all devices. I appreciate your feedback and your patience as our team continues to monitor this request. Your input is valuable, and if there’s anything else I can assist with, please let me know.

Know you're just writing what Square requires you to write, but hope you'll take the feedback that it's difficult to take what you write (and deemed the "best answer") as anything more than lip service. When this super basic function has been a community request for 5+ years, there's no evidence to suggest Square has done or will do anything about it. Replies like these are just dismissive, and it's only more frustrating to get thanked for 5+ years of patience. Obviously, users' input isn't valuable to Square...or something woulda been done about this...even if nothing more than an update with specific info like ETA or reasons why Square's not done it in 5+ years or what more users need to do to get this bumped up on Square's to-do list, etc.
