Skip Receipt Toggle not working & Screen Return after Sale

Hi,

We've been implementing Square Terminal over the past few weeks and by & large it's been working well & the Amaka integration into Xero great as well.

There are 2 aspects that aren't working well.

 

1. Skip Receipt Toggle under Checkout doesn't work. I was disabling the printer under Hardware however that isn't working stopping the receipt screen now either. which

 

2. Once card sale is complete, the screen it returns to for the next sale is the default Checkout  screen & not the Category screen it was on before sale. Whereas on a cash sale, it seems to return to the Category screen.
We are a surf club and the Square Terminal is used across a variety of different scenarios - meat tray raffles, weekly Nipper BBQ, in the office for membership & uniforms which is how the categories have been set up. So would like the Raffle people not having to select the Category each time which is how it worked when we first set things up so I'm not sure what has changed. Further it doesn't appear to do this on all payment types.

 

Thinking about what has changed in setup, I'm wondering whether it's due making additional payment types available. Need to do some more testing on this. However it is difficult to test this as there is no test setting & as thus, can only test by putting lots of payments through & then having to refund them. The problem with this is unnecessary transactions as well as with the Gross & Net Reporting on Categories & Items not working correctly, creating other issues.

If anyone can point me in the right direction on how to resolve both of these, that would be greatly appreciated. We are a volunteer organisation with rotating users so it would be great to have it set to the simplest way - no receipts in areas not needed & returning to the category screen.

Thanks for getting back in touch 🙂 Sorry to hear about the trouble with your Square Terminal! 

 

From testing on my Square Terminal, you should be redirected to the default checkout screen, whether your last sale was cash, card, or other. It would be worth reaching out to our support team, to try some troubleshooting steps, and look into your settings further than we can via this forum in this case.
