After nearly two hours of being on the phone with tech support on Saturday, I was informed that the SETTLE TIPS button was inexplicably removed from the FLOOR PLAN screen. Why this was done is a mystery to not only me, but also to the poor tech support person who had to deal with my frustration of restarting the iPad and deleting the app MULTIPLE TIMES.
Now we have to go to TRANSACTIONS and enter tips for each receipt. Here's the problem this creates; I can no longer check on sales via my phone dashboard UNLESS our staff performs END OF DAY after each transaction. Yes, each transaction.
Will some make this make sense?

I found a solution to this issue. Square support was no help.
Go to your DASHBOARD APP
Choose SETTINGS
Choose CHECK REPORTING
Select ALL CHECKS
What is really annoying about all this is that I spent three hours over the last couple of days with tech support and not a single person suggested this solution. And no notification was sent regarding the initial change that caused this mess.
If anyone has an alternative POS to move to, I am very interested in exploring a change.

Today we discovered an icon on the upper side of the floor plan that allows you to settle tips.
why doesn’t Square put out a notification of changes to the POS??? Why are we, the end user left to figure out all the changes.
