Selling different types of ticket with one transaction

I am trying to sell tickets to a function. Thee is a different price for adults and for children. I also want the purchaser not only to pick either or both, but also to be able to pick numbers of each before a single checkout. I have created these two items and they bot have individual links, and are both in the same category/class. Can I generate a link which will allow me to sell these tickets?

Hi @Philokalia 👋 thanks for your post. 

 

I'd be happy to help. I tried to set this up with Checkout Links which is what it sounds like you did too, but I think creating an online item might be a better option, and then you can share that as a link (you could use Bitly to shorten the link). 

 

  1. From your Square Online Overview page, go to Items > Site Items.
  2. Select Create new item.
  3. In the Item Type menu, choose Event.
  4. Under Event Details, choose whether the event is online or in person, and enter information specific to the event type.
  5. You'll need to use the 'Options' to create both the adult and children's tickets. 

Here's what I came up with, let me know if this might work for you.

Thanks for the post and the help. It didn't work for me. I used  Jotform which allows such a choice, and which can be linked to Square for payment. It seems that this option in Square is required by quite a few, but is so difficult to achieve!

Hi @Philokalia,

The payment link won't let your customers buy different ticket types in one transaction, but creating an item on the Square Online Overview page will. Make sure to follow Breffni's steps above.

 

Once this is done, your customer will be able to select the amount and the ticket type, and click on Attend to add to the cart. As opposed to using payment links, they won't be taken to the payment page automatically but will remain on the item page. This will give them the opportunity to add another ticket type.
