See below report on dashboard for today (no filters):
NOW See below iOS app report same day, same filters (none).
As I understand it - it works as follows:
= THE VALUE OF EVERYTHING THAT GOES THROUGH THE TILL (PRE: DISCOUNT/COMP/REFUND)
THEN:
LESS DISCOUNTS & COMPS
LESS REFUNDS/RETURNS
WHICH IS THE VALUE OF EVERYTHING WE'VE ACTUALLY SOLD (ie. PRODUCT SALES LESS DISCOUNTS/COMPS/REFUNDS)
THEN:
PLUS TAX COLLECTED ON THOSE SALES (VAT)
WHICH IS THE VALUE OF NET SALES PLUS THE VAT WE COLLECTED.
Please confirm?
1. COMPS /DISCOUNTS/REFUNDS are included in the product sales number on dashboard but are then taken off for net sales.
2. WHY are COMPS/DISCOUNTS/REFUNDS then included in the GROSS SALES for the app?
Please advise.
Hi @TGPH thanks for your post! I'll leave some information on Square reporting terminology which I hope will be helpful:
