Hello - I've enabled Customer Reviews via Square, which don't seem to have "push" functionality ie I can't send a review request on my own to a historical customer. Instead, they are only sent to new customers who order online, and I have no idea if they've actually been sent, ways to follow up etc.
I've therefore enabled Trustpilot reviews and connected it to Square. My question: will my customers receive review requests from both Trustpilot and Square? If it's just one request, let's say from Square, will that review appear both on my Square site and feed through automatically to Trustpilot?
Square's documentation on how this works is poor so I'd appreciate any insights. My business doesn't get enough reviews currently for me to troubleshoot this myself.
Thank you
Hi @oscard, thanks for your post and welcome to the Seller Community.
Customer Reviews will be requested once a customer has made a purchase via your Square Online site once you have the setting enabled, you cannot proactively request customers to leave reviews for sales prior to enabling the setting, unfortunately.
Until recently we didn't have a direct integration with Trustpilot in the UK, and you are correct that there is very little supporting content available, which I've already flagged to our partnerships team, but thank you for raising it. As soon as the supporting articles are published, I'll add them to this thread.
The information I could get was that when using the integration, it will only trigger a Trustpilot review invitation to send. A review left from that invitation would appear on their Trustpilot profile page, and if you have any review-displaying widgets implemented on your Square site, they will appear there too.
From looking at their support centre and the information above, if you have customer reviews enabled, you'll likely end up with two different sets of reviews.
I hope this helps, as I mentioned this conversation is ongoing so I'll be able to add more information here once I have it.
