Remove from Inventory

I'd like to scan a barcode and remove an item from inventory from my square register. The item didn't sell, I just want to remove it from inventory. I can scan a barcode and ADD the item but I don't see where I can remove it from inventory. 

Is that something that can be done?

Hi @SheMar.  I just finished searching through the Community threads as well as Square Help documents.  I get zero hits on this subject, so it must not exist.  I can’t even find a thread where anyone but you has asked this specific question, either.

 

You are always welcome to head over to the Ideate Board and submit a feature request to the POS team.  However this would start the ball rolling and adding new features to the product roadmaps takes time.  In the short term, the only workaround I could suggest is for you to scan the barcode on your POS which will add the item to your cart.  Then you can use the item name, SKU or UPC code to find it in your item library and delete it that way.  It’s not ideal, but it is what will work at this moment.
