When I am using the terminal and adding an item, I can see a configure menu as well as stock and location information.
Is there a way to turn this off so that it is not shown to our bartenders?
They don't need to see this information so I would like to remove it.

Do you have your employees set up and logged into the Terminal via team permissions (i.e. via device code or their own email addresses) or are they all logged into the account under your own email address and password?
You would be able to restrict their access to most of these features via team permissions, so if you don't have it set up already we can look at doing that. You can view the permission sets here.
They are logged in with team permission as a bartender.
can I hide that section or just make it so they can’t interact without a higher level password?
I'm trying to replicate this myself @Adam-Hewitt but I'm not seeing where you are seeing the option to add a menu on the Terminal.
I tested out a few different settings. I gave myself restricted permission to just access Checkout and Transactions/Orders.
When I log into the Terminal via Square for Restaurants via Device Code, here's my view:

I do have the option at the top for the Item library, this can't be removed but I'm unable to actually create any items.
