Hi @EmporiumLLC. You can not do this using the keypad feature on POS. However, if you do this regularly, you create a variable priced item for each category that you have and have your employees choose the appropriate one when entering variable dollar amounts. Give them a consistent name, for each access. Say you have three categories — Appetizers, Entrees and Beverages. You’d create three items:
“Open$ Appetizers”, assigned to that category
“Open$ Entrees”
”Open$ Beverages”
Leave the prices blank when you create the items, which will cause the POS to prompt for an amount when that item is selected or its button in pushed.
