Regarding Square Printer and Editing/Adjusting Online Orders

Hey guys, anything helps. I can't find much on the Square FAQ.
We use square's online platform for our catering orders. So customers go to the website, order and pay and it comes out of the printer at the restaurant. Seamless and easy.

The problem is when a customer calls and says "shoot, can i change the pickup time to X or change the order, etc etc". My process is I receive the call from the customer, text my manager who handles the catering orders If i'm not physically there, and he physically writes the adjustment onto the receipt or edit's the receipt that was printed to reflect the change they made to their order.

This causes so many things to get lost and forgotten. It'd be perfect If I could go into square on my phone, go into their order and make a quick edit that could come to the printer, that would be AMAZING. It's probably impossible even if i'm not physically there.

Does anyone have any suggestions? It's very annoying not being able to adjust/edit orders that were already placed.

Maybe it's just that I'm lacking the utilization of a system that would help me that isn't related to square? Like does the type of tech exist where I can just send a text using some 3rd party integration like Zapier and that text get's printed out or something? Anything helps.

Hello @HOJcatering ,

I completely understand this predicament, I know I have needed to edit an order after the fact. You can edit the pickup time, see this post providing more details on how you can do that. As far as making adjustments to items I do believe this is a feature request. I tagged some super sellers @LLCafe @Donnie-M @TCSlaguna who can provide their knowledge.

If you need anything else please reach back out.

Hi @HOJcatering! Currently there is no way to to edit the time of an order. I think @ryanwanner and @lenjobakes can confirm this for us. I am almost certain it is a feature request that Square is aware of.
