Receiving payment without hardware

in the past, I’ve been able to use my phone to receive direct payment without hardware. Without any changes to my phone and following all the appropriate steps, my phone is no longer recognizing the card. it doesn’t decline it times out. I have all the appropriate connections and followed all the troubleshooting documents available through support in the app. Any suggestions?

That's odd. If it was working before and now it's just timing out, I'd try a few different cards first to see if it's happening with all of them.

I've found that when Tap to Pay isn't even recognizing the card, it usually feels more like a phone/app issue than a card issue.

If you've already gone through all the troubleshooting steps, you may need Square to take a look on their end. Let us know what you find out—I’m curious what the culprit ends up being.
