Wehave 3 Ipads and one of them after a normal transaction keeps having the open ticket screen appear . I have tried logging in under a different user but it wont dissappear - It happened after the last softwater update.
Hi @DIBBSY, not sure if you got this sorted or not. Sammie_C’s steps are the logical options!
A few more you could try:
Check for pending tickets
Go to Tickets in your POS and make sure there are no open or partially paid tickets. Sometimes a ticket can get stuck after an update.
Clear cache and data
In your iPad settings > Square POS app > Storage, clear any cached data. This can help if the app is holding onto old session info.
Update iOS and Square POS
Confirm your iPad is running the latest iOS version and that Square POS is fully updated. Compatibility issues can cause odd behaviour after updates.
Disable and re-enable Open Tickets
In Square POS > Settings > Checkout > Open Tickets, toggle the feature off, restart the app, then toggle it back on.
Check for hardware conflicts
If you’re using a Square Stand or other connected accessories, disconnect them temporarily and see if the issue persists.
If none of these steps work, I’d recommend contacting Square Support directly to see if they have any other ideas.
Hi @DIBBSY, thank you for your post.

Have you gone through all of these troubleshooting steps?

Please let me know if following those steps clears the Open Ticket screen off of your device.
