Printer critical error

My printer won't print,says it's connected but when I go to print it says critical error message.ive checked all cords,restarted,turned off and back on but still same error

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your printer.

Could you confirm which Square hardware you are using, and the brand and model of your printer ?
