I am new to this platform and haven’t even finished setting it up as I have a telehealth business and got an email stating we cannot charge (unless in person) for prescriptions/medications. Aside for my initial consult- my business is assessing and prescribing peptides and neutraceuticals from a FDA approved 503 B pharmacy. Because it’s TH- I am NOT in person and have to charge for these items prior to placing the order with the pharmacy- they are shipped directly to the patient. Has anyone dealt with this? And is this correct?
@MLY This one is unfortunately an easy one to answer, and won't be what you are looking for but the terms of service are very clear on this:
" (8) internet/mail order/telephone order pharmacies or pharmacy referral services (where fulfillment of medication is performed with an internet or telephone consultation, absent a physical visit, including re-importation of pharmaceuticals from foreign countries),"
You just can't do telehealth and prescribe medicine without an in-person face to face visit or do mail order anything with drugs. There is not a work around or anything of the sort. This is not a business type that square supports unfortunately. I rarely would do this, but you should look for a different payment processor for this type of business.

Thank you! I appreciate the reply as I have emailed Square several times and have been very specific about what I am needing to do and both emails indicated nothing specific to medication processing/prescriptions. I also know of individuals doing the same work as me that are using Square for this exact purpose. I just want to be compliant and will be looking at other avenues for the med processing portion! 🙂
@MLY Totally understand, what most people won't see are the numerous posts on the forums when square does catch up to people violating the TOS and then they get their account blocked and terminated. That really messes with your business. Glad you asked though, our community is great to help.
