Pending Deactivation Notice from Square

We are a pharmacy we received this notice! We have reviewed the General terms & payment terms we didn't find that we have violated any term. We are not selling illegal products or high risk products. I am sure there is a mistake. We haven't been told or explained to us what went wrong?!

Please explain or cancel the deactivation.

"We recently reviewed your account, and have unfortunately found activity that violates our Terms of Service including but not limited to the following:

Section 4 General Terms

Section 3 Payment Terms"

Hi @RaziMeds,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community about this, welcome!

I appreciate it can be frustrating if the deactivation notification hasn’t specified the exact reason that Square can no longer support your business. However, it’s worth keeping in mind that due to Squares contractual obligations to the card networks, we can’t always disclose the full details of our internal decision making processes.

Please be assured that having your account deactivated is in no way intended to cast aspersions on the legitimacy of the work you’re doing, it may simply be the case that an element of that work can't be supported by Square at this time.

Unfortunately I wouldn’t be able to look into this deactivation at an account level here in the community, but I can tell you that the certain restrictions do apply to the Pharmaceutical industries. For example, Square is not able to support card processing where fulfilment of medication is performed with an Internet or telephone consultation, in the absence of a physical visit.

We’re also unable to support payment processing where age restricted products are sold via Internet, mail order or telephone order.

These are just two of the restrictions that could potentially affect a pharmacy's ability to process sales through Square, but you’ll find a more exhaustive list in section 3 of our Payment Terms.

You mentioned these two examples:

"Square is not able to support card processing where fulfilment of medication is performed with an Internet or telephone consultation, in the absence of a physical visit.

We’re also unable to support payment processing where age restricted products are sold via Internet, mail order or telephone order."

We didn't use square for the sales of any item in the absence of a physical visit or age restriction! We mainly use it for Vaccine which need to be done physically of course!!

The whole problem was due the reader didn't work, we had to type in the card details into Square system! If the reader was working, then, we won't have a problem.

Some customers might need to pay by link, cause they forgot their cards, but this doesn't mean that they weren't in premises!
