Payments suddenly not going through

I've been using my new account since Monday. I am a cab driver and use tap to pay on my iphone to take cards. The first 3 days nothing went wrong. Then last night all the cards I tapped the transaction would just hang and never confirm. Then I get push notifications "you have an incomplete payment please return to the app to complete". But the transactions show up in my history? Square support says they take up to 3 days to reply to messages but I work tomorrow and absolutely cannot work without being able to take cards. What is this? How do I fix this? I didn't want to spend $60 on a physical square reader especially if I don't even know if that would fix this issue. Am I even going to get the money from last night?

To start, I would recommend trying these troubleshooting steps with your Tap To Pay.

 

When those payments are hanging - do you have full wifi or cellular service? Are you seeing the payments in your balance too?
