Payments Being Declined

A number of customer payments are being declined. Please can someone advise! It comes up in red text at the payment section. Weekly and Square are shut till Monday!

Hi @cannychocolate, sorry to hear you were experiencing this issue! Square requires 100% accuracy when entering information for payments, so if the customers are getting a declined message, it's worth asking them to make sure that the following information are correct:

  • Card number
  • Expiration date
  • CVV
  • Postcode (if the customer has recently moved, the billing postcode entered may be out of date. They can enter 5-zero instead)

If your customer has confirmed their card is valid and the transaction still declines, they should contact their card-issuing bank for more information.

No payments are going through this morning on cards I know have money in them. We don't take cash so atm I can't trade. Can someone please advise?

@HopsBoogie I've just posted a thread with some ways you can adapt... try charging online if customers can access a stable internet connection. If that doesn't work square will hopefully be back up soon!
