POS screen randomly goes white on wakeup

On any given day after we allow the app to go to sleep, when we tap the screen to process a sale, the app goes through the usual reconnection dialogues then screen is just white with no products. We go back to the General Ipad screen and power down and reboot the iPad which fixes it, but that's a serious aggravation.

 

We thought it might be a conflict with Pandora which we run through the same iPad for our shop music, but today even after signing out of Pandora, it happened again.  We have now turned off Siri as well [because and it keeps asking "What can I help you with?"].

 

Anyone ever have this issue?  I'm fairly sure this is not unique. What is causing this nuisance?  Everything is up to date (current IOS, etc)

Sorry to hear your POS is acting glitchy @Junglepilot. Thanks for taking a stab as some troubleshooting. 

 

You mentioned restarting your iPad and updating the iOS software - have you tried reinstalling the app yet?

 

Let me know in case I need to escalate this further!

Thanks, yes I did finally just delete the Square app off of the iPad POS, shut down/power off the iPad, rebooted it and re-installed the app from App store and have not had the white screen now for a day.  Hopefully that was the culprit.
