We have used square invoice app for a while now and it’s been great however need to send my invoices as PDF, which used to work
perfectly but now when I try to do this it will
download the invoice as a pdf but will
not show the icon for me to forward or save the invoice? Anyone else having this issue and if so how do I sort it? Thanks

What sort of device are you using the Square Invoices app on?
I tested this out on an iPhone and an iPad and both had different ways to download the invoice.. so it may vary depending on the device you are using.
iPad, there should be an icon in the top right:
iPhone, I had to hold down continuously hold on the screen to get the share function.
If neither of these options work, just let me know what device you are using and I'd be happy to continue digging into this.
Many thanks for trying I did the hold on screen and share came up as an option but it only shares the font highlighted not the document as a PDF so didn’t work sadly

Just to confirm - previously you were taking the same steps and there had been a specific download icon? And this was on an iPhone? I'll be able to do some more investigating once I have these details, thanks.
I can confirm this was on the iPhone in the bottom corner of the screen after downloading the invoice as a PDF

The thread apparently works for the iPad which I don’t actually use but not on the iPhone … around a month ago the icon was available on the bottom left of the iphone screen to forward the PDF invoice .. the icon which was previously on the iPhone is the same as the iPad one in the top right corner
@Den1, can you let me know what is your iPhone model, iOS version and the Square Invoice App version? In the meantime, I will test this on an iPhone and will get back to you.

@Den1, I have tried this on an iPhone and Online Dashboard. The option Download PDF is there both on iPhone and Dashboard. Please try deleting your app and reinstall and follow the steps below:
1. Go to Invoice from your Square POS app or Square Invoice app or your Online Dashboard
2. Select an invoice
3. Scroll down and choose the option More
4. Select Download Invoice
I tested this on iOS version 15.5 and Square POS app version 5.93 too. The Dashboard was tested on Chrome browser.

Hey @Den1, just stepping in for Emma here. I just tried on my own app to see if I could forward an invoice via email myself and wasn't able to. I have escalated this to the relevant teams so we'll get back to you once we receive more information. Thank you for your patience!

Hey @Den1, thank you for your patience. I have just gotten word back from my team and they have said that the inability to download a PDF version of an invoice is a known issue. We don't have a timeline for a fix just yet, but our Engineering team is working hard to resolve it. Really sorry for the inconvenience!

I really need a fix on this it’s now coming up to end of month two and I can’t send PDF invoices via email so I’m still not getting paid !!!
Hi @Den1, the new versions are released to fix this issue. Please check if your Square POS app is running on the 5.95 version. There are different ways to share your invoice in PDF, email, or shareable link format.
1. The PDF download option is now fixed. You can download the invoice as PDF and share it via email or save it to your device.
2. When you create an invoice, an email is sent to your customer if you enter their email address. Your customer is able to pay and download their invoice payment confirmation in PDF format. You can also send a reminder in email format.
3. You can share the link to your invoice. To do so, select your invoice > More > Share

Yes that’s correct have used this app for years and the icon always came up in the corner as showed on the iPad photo above. It just disappeared about a week ago
Hey @Nomoorepest1 , just stepping in for Alegra here. I just tested it out on my iPad and encountered the same issue as you - it wouldn't let me save it as a PDF, only a link to the actual PDF.
What worked for me was downloading the invoice by clicking More > Download Invoice within the app, as per the screenshot below.
Then, I saved it to the Book app on the iPad. It looked like the screenshot below. This gave me access to a PDF version of the invoice. Although, I'm not sure if the Book app is exclusive to some versions of iOS or not. The iPad I'm using is the iPad 8th Generation and is running on iOS 14.4. It could be a viable workaround, though!
