Online/self serve ordering

During busy times at my bar, I hide our food categories so customers cannot order for takeaway or order on self serve. However, I've discovered a problem. We received a takeaway food order when our food category was hidden but customers can search for food items, using the search bar, add them to the basket and check out. Can this be fixed so this doesn't happen?

That sounds like it shouldn't be happening - if you have the item it happened with and the order number I may be able to investigate. 

Also, have you looked at Time-based categories? They might work better than hiding items. 

By doing so you can create a category that’s time-based to support menu items that are only available during certain times of the day (think breakfast, lunch, weekends, etc.). These time-based categories also work with your pickup and local delivery hours, which means customers can only purchase items during the times you specify (subject to any applicable prep times and local delivery estimate settings).
