Online Checkout link shows Not Available

I have created an Item, and given it 8 variation. I enabled Stock Tracking, and added Stock to each of them. I have only one Location, and each shows under "Manage Stock" as [checked] "Available at 1 of 1 locations" 

The Item has "Online Checkout" enabled, and has a checkout link. 

I can follow the checkout link, and select one of the 8 variations.   However, I can't change the quantity from the default (1), and the blue button shows as "Not Available". How do I get it to be "Available" ? ?
