Once a domain name is transferred can the original email address still be used?

Hi @sweeks, thanks for your post! If you have set up email addresses for your domain, you can still use them as normal even if you have transferred the domain. Something to note:

• If you purchased the domain outside of Square and has transferred it to us, you may need to manage and pay your email provider directly or continue to do it through your previous domain host.
• If you purchased the email through us but have transferred the domain to an external site, you can still manage your email service through Square.

I have this exact problem. Purchased the domain outside of Square - then as I bought into square and started to use it, needed to port the domain into square. When I did this - I lost the ability to access the email (which I had pushing straight to my Mac OS Mail App). The email still exists in SiteGround and is still paid for but I can't work out how to maintain access due to the porting of the domain into Square.

Do you have any insights on how to do this? I'm not that technical when it comes to websites but will persevere to get what I need.

Hi @h3ctic, Emma here stepping in for @tranguyen! I suggest to contact Siteground for support. Since the domain was purchased outside Square, you will need to keep managing it through the previous domain host.
