Hi Im about to purchase a new phone just wondering if anyone has linked their gen2 reader to an OPPO A98

We're always expanding our list of supported devices. If you've just bought a new one and it's not listed here, don't worry, things change frequently.

Currently, the Oppo A98 isn't on the list, so if you need to use Square right away, make sure to choose a compatible device.

Hi Laurie

I decided against taking a chance on a new A98.

Ended up getting an OPPO find X5 pro.

I was having big problems getting the reader to work it was pairing via bluetooth but not working with the app.

Tried a whole bunch of things even had live chat with support.

Was about to give up as I was advised the reader was potentially faulty.

In the end I deleted the device and app and got it working.

I'm no I.T expert but it may have had something to do with having transferring all my data over from my old device using clone phone app anyhow the new device is on the list of compatible devices and I tested it with a transaction and hopefully it will be all good from here on. Cheers
