Nonprofit fundraising sale

We have a small gift shop at our church to raise money. What is the least expensive way to take credit cards? Thank you!

Hi ABG5,

Most important, ensure that your Square Account is setup and ready to go.

For starters, I would recommend using an iPhone and ensure you have an Apple ID (account)

Ensure the device (iPhone) has the latest iOS (ver 17.4.1 most current)

Next, download and install Square's POS App

Follow these details for Tap to Pay - no additional hardware or software needed

Also suggest reading this - it may answer some questions

Once setup - you should be good to go.

Basically there's no additional costs except for the transaction processing fee (2.6 % plus $.10).

Note:

* If your group is a registered non-profit or 501(c)(3), this info may be helpful.

* The Tap to Pay technology works with contactless cards, Apple Pay, and other digital wallets. To determine if a card can make contactless payments, look for the contactless symbol. If your customer does not have a contactless payment method, you can also accept payments with manual card entry, a QR code, or checkout link.

The info above would be your least expensive option but, depending on your needs and future plans, Square has many options.
