No show protection & prepayments

Is it possible to choose no show protection/ cancellations fees for services let’s say under £100, and charge deposits only for the ones costing £100+ ? Or is it case of “one or another applied to all services” without options to choose between the two depending on service?

Hey there @DAFFORNE  welcome to the Seller Community. 

 

Correct, if you would like to enable bookings with no-show protection, you must enter a cancellation fee amount on each service’s edit page or you won’t be able to charge a fee.

 

Square Dashboard > Appointments > Payments and Cancellations

Having the customisable option you are looking for would be a feature request. 

 

If you do decide to go ahead without using no-show protection, you would be able to request the deposits for bookings you require a deposit for via Deposits with Square Invoices

I'm looking to take a % deposit on all appointments.  I usually take a 20% on previous software.  Can anyone help as to how I do this please

At the moment, there isn’t a way to charge a percentage-based No-Show Protection fee across all of your services. I can definitely see how this feature would be useful, so I’ll pass this feedback on to our Product Teams.

 

If your customer does not show up or cancels outside your cancellation window, you can choose to charge them a set amount fee.

 

To update the fee for each service from your online Square Dashboard:

  1. Click on Service Library > select the service to update.
  2. Under Price and Duration, enter in your Cancellation Fee.
  3. Click Save.
