Hello! Recently Square did an update that changed the layout of the "Name or Ticket Number" bar at the end of a transaction (prior to taking payment). In this bar, the cashier would enter a customers name or ticket number and then click a blue "NEXT" button to move on to the payment processing. After the update, this Name/Ticket Number screen is smaller and the "NEXT" button in the upper right has been replaced with "SKIP", so if you're used to the old version of this bar, you'd enter a customers name and then hit "SKIP" which doesn't print the customers name or ticket # on the kitchen ticket. Square has placed the "next" bar as a tiny blue long horizontal bar underneath the area where you type customer name/ticket #.

I've seen this pop up in another part of this community: this seems to be a bug with the latest release of the app. Square is aware of this and is working on a fix. Keep your register plugged in and on overnight for a bit so that the latest software gets pushed to it as soon as it's available!

Here's an example of that screen. The long horizontal blue bar that spans the "Name/Ticket #" bar is the button you're supposed to click after inputting a customers name. Not that intuitive of a change 😞
