My invoices won’t send

I am trying to send an invoice to a phone number and nothing will send. It will say it sent then if I go on my messages it says “massage not delivered” and nobody is getting them.

Hi @Jonah-carroll thanks for reaching out to The Seller Community! I am sorry you are having some issues sending invoices through text. 

 

To confirm these are being sent from the app on your phone? Have you tried any app troubleshooting? I did a test on my demo account and did not seem to run into this issue when I sent an invoice via text and opened it. If you can please share your screenshot of the error message that would be helpful to look at.

After creating an invoice, why would it not send either be a text or email it shows on my end as undelivered

Hi @Flowershed217 - Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Square Seller Community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having some trouble sending your Invoices. I went ahead and merged your post to an existing thread where other Square Sellers have had this issue as well. We merge duplicate conversations together to keep like comments in one place, and to make it easier for others to find the thread in the future. 

 

If you run into trouble sending Square Invoices, keep the following tips in mind:

  • Make sure your web browser or app version is up to date.

  • For your protection, Square can occasionally cancel an invoice if your customer makes too many failed attempts to pay it. You can duplicate a canceled invoice and try sending it again. Please verify your customer’s identity since transactions are declined by the card issuer, not Square. Learn more about potential scams and how to accept payment cards safely.

  • Late fees cannot be charged for Square Invoices.

  • You’ll need to have the correct customer contact information on file depending on the invoice delivery method that you choose. For example, if the invoice delivery method is set to Text Message but you do not have the customer’s phone number on file, you will need to collect their phone number and update their customer profile before sending your invoice, or you can choose a different delivery method.

If you are still unable to send the Invoice after double-checking these things, please connect with our Support Team so they can take a closer look into this with you.
