My digital items won't show as visible

My digital items won't show as visible because it says I don't offer pick up. And it doesn't give me the option to choose shipping. Yet if I change them to a physical item they show up fine. I've read the articles on adding digital items and still haven't been able to get them to list properly.

Sorry I didnt reply sooner! I ended up having to delete the items and start from scratch. The second time around everything listed perfectly.

HI, you can check a couple of places to see what may be the issue.  Even though its digital items, default fulfillment method still needs to be setup.

 

Does each item correctly state its fulfillment method?

 

Checkout Fulfillment Method properly setup?

Online Dashboard, Settings, Checkout, upper right Advanced Settings, scroll down to Default Fulfillment Method

I just now went though this with a member of the Square support team, who was awesome. Change the type of item to digital and save. Open the item back up and save it again. Open it up again, click in the description or price field, then you'll be able to make it visible. It's crazy. Hopefully the devs will get this bug cleared up!

I actually  solved it by deleting the items and starting over. Before that the only fulfillment option it showed was pick up and it wouldn't  make the digital items visible unless I chose that option. So I decided to start from scratch! Worked perfectly the second time around.  Whatever the bug is I hope it gets fixed so others don't  have the same issue in future.

It is ridiculous that we must do 3 things to get an item visible.  Once I put an item into my system, it should be visible once I save.  Why would anyone not want this items to be visible on the website?  When I add inventory, and I have hundreds of items, it should become visible as soon as I am finished.  I usually add inventory on my Square Retail app so I can add a picture, which I can not did very easily with my laptop.  Are you saying, I must go back to every item and save it as digital, save it again, close and re-open it, go to description and price field, then make it visible?!  I might as well close my square account and go to some other e-commerce software.
