My battery died I have the machine plugged in but it has not come on

My battery ran down overnight - I forgot to plug it in.  I have it plugged in now.  When I first plugged it in, I got the charging symbol, but now it will not come on.

Many times, a device needs to charge for several minutes before it will power back up after having the battery completely depleted.  However, we need more information: which device specifically are you referring to?

Terminal typically takes 5 hours to full charge. Is it still not coming on @books209?

We finally got it to start up, but I am not sure how it happened!  We tried turning it on and off, and plugging and unplugging, and opening and closing the paper latch over and over, and it finally came on - I don't know which thing caused it.  LOL  Just happy it is working again, and I won't let it run down again!!  thanks

Is it safe to charge the Square terminal overnight, even if it only needs a few hours?  The battery doesn't seem to last more than a day and a half, even without usage.

I moved your post over to this board where other members are discussing the Terminal battery. It should take about 5 hours to fully charge, but it is also safe to keep the device plugged in overnight. We have some sellers that keep the device plugged in at all times.
