Music Busker Solution But 'Review' Screen Still Showing ... ?

Have evolved a solution for busking - ie to receive from passers by but the iPhone/iPod ignores the setting and still inserts a 'Review' screen - any workarounds?

Yes, yes and ... yes.  Thanks to King Casey (above) who led the way with similar ideas.  You can set up an iPad or iPod/iPhone's screen so that buskers can receive contactless (and chip) card payment from passers by without interruption.

As of June 2021 the process on the iPhone (or iPod) is three steps.  The process on the iPad is two steps.

• Plaster the 'Favourites' with the same price and graphic (eg $1) but create them in 25 separate categories so that a tap on any different '$1' shows up as a separate line item
• Settings > Checkout > anull all the fiddly bits like receipt, review etc (for some reason the iPhone and iPod still does a review , anyway)
• display a little poster that shows the 2 (or 3) steps
•      (see example at contributer's website in profile)
• the passer by hits the '$1' whatever number of times
• they hit the blue button(s) to continue to the payment screen
• card is waved - they get a thank you
• the screen goes bag to the original 'favourites'
• bingo - long live the revolution 😎

In your app, go to More > Settings > Checkout > Revert to previous experience. Like this the Point of Sale app won't display the "Review Sale" screen.

Just keep in mind the option to revert to the previous experience is temporary. From what you shared about how you use Square, it sounds like you wouldn't really use the "Review Sale" function, is that right? We'd be happy to pass your feedback regarding this screen to our product team.

The temporary reversion to the previous experience does have the effect of getting rid of the 'Review' screen but the screen gives the passer by too much opportunity to do something wrong and interrupt the performance.

The situation is the passer by going tap-tap-tap-pay on the iPhone.

Or in the case of iPad tap-tap-pay.

Making the iPhone/iPod screen work with the same two step of an iPad would be nice.

But ideally: As King Casey says it has to be as close as possible to a person throwing a coin so if you guys can make a big button screen that is just tap-pay there'll be a huge market for it.

By the way ...

Suggest an up top in your face tight array of buttons that are international flags (or a map) which say 'Square Sellers Community' ...

... because this forum is very difficult to find.  The Australian one should be integrated in to an 'Oceania' button so it includes PNG, NZ and the islands.
