Multiple purchase item discount

We run a couple of food trucks and are setting up a new product line for them.  Currently we have been selling woodfired pizzas, with our items (Each pizza) having a set of modifiers that are provided based on the pizza for the base, sauce, toppings etc.  Our new product range is totally different and allows the customer to purchase 1, 2, 3 or as many as they want of an item (Tacos-soft or Hard), however they have the choice of varieties (Pork, Chicken, Beef).  The challenge is that each item (1, 2 or 3+) could be either of these three varieties IE 1 x Chicken, 1 x Pork, 1 x Beef or 2 x Chicken or 1 x Beef and 2 x Chicken etc.  I'm thinking we have one item and as the customer chooses their Taco's they select Beef, Chicken or Pork (which would be modifiers and would have different price points), and they can also choose their toppings IE Extra cheese, coriander, etc.  However we want to provide a multi-buy discount.  1  for $6.50, 2 for $12.50 and 3 for $16.50.   How can I set up this discount so it is applied automatically in square POS when my staff are entering the customers order.  We only do walk up orders nothing online at this stage.

Hey @Eddiemunster73,

Thanks for reaching out!

Have you checked out automatic discounts at all? You can set up purchase rules for certain items / categories that will apply automatically once the criteria of selecting the right items is met.

If you've already checked out automatic discounts, let me know if you're seeing any sorts of issues preventing you from doing what you're trying to achieve here!
