We are a volunteer fire department and have a single fundraiser each year. We have switched from PayPal to Square Point of Sale and I have a couple questions.
1. I've setup our account and tested a payment, everything was good. On the day of the fundraiser, we may have 8-9 people all taking payments throughout the 3 hours of the event. Do I give our account email and password to everyone? That doesn't seem safe for account security.
2. On the day of the event, I will know who will be taking payments. They will download the Point of Sale app, and the first question is their email. Do they use their personal email or the email for the account?
#1 I would go under your online dashboard and set up device codes for however many people you will have taking orders and just set up a simple team passcode to give to them. This will keep all your account information secure.
#2 With the device codes and team code they will not have to put in anything. Otherwise, they would not put in their email unless you set them up as team members.
