Hi all
Hoping someone might be able to assist with a workaround as Square Support have advised they don't have the feature I am after.
We are wanting to do a discount for a multi-buy from the same category for a set price (i.e. buy any 3 items for $22). The items are all varying prices, therefore it is not feasible to do a blanket discount percentage or discount off, and we are having to calculate it manually each time.
We are a food truck business and don't use an online store, just the square app for in person purchases.
My only idea was to create an 'item' for $22 to be able to charge the set amount. Then to ensure we can print receipts and run reports of the actual items purchased, have a copy of all of the items in the category with a price of $0. Has anyone tried this work around and had success?
Thanks so much
Hi @Foodtruck22 ,
As a stopgap you can create a discount which has no value, when you apply it, it will be a custom discount (ie enter the amount at transaction time). That way you can at least discount down to $22 manually.
Square has the ability to price bundles and I htink this is what you want(Create and Manage Bundles with Square for Retail | Square Support Centre - AU (squareup.com)) but this is on paid subscriptions only.
