Move the language button on Square Register client facing screen

Hi Square,

Been using Square register for only a week and am very happy but can't believe no-one has ever requested this previously.

 

May I suggest the Chose Language button be moved to the top right of the client facing payment screen. I have had no less than 50 customers bump it while waving their card over the card reader. Or an option to turn it off

Thank you for sharing this feedback, @Yowie - I see what you mean! Right now it doesn't look like there is a way to disable this button or move it, so I'll surface this with our product team for consideration.

Yes please.....!  I totally agree with the other comments.  Customers keep bumping it and it's quite disconcerting.

Hey guys, any update on this? Same with the “press to confirm” button, for some reason customers don’t seem to see it and keep moving their credit card around the screen while getting frustrated. Thanks

Regarding the “press to confirm” button during the checkout process, our team is actively exploring alternative long-term solutions, and we will hopefully have an update to share on this soon.

Customer continue to accidentally change the language when they try and tap their card

UPDATE?

 

1.5 Years later and this still drives me nuts. I'd have though with the resource Square has at it disposal these issue would be rectified swiftly!

Has this been fixed yet? I had a disagreement with a customer today as she incorrectly entered her PIN number but has selected a foreign language at the same time so when it declined the customer facing screen was blue with foreign characters on it so she did not believe me. I had to make her come around to my side of the counter to see it had declined payment. This language issue is getting beyond annoying. Can we please get a fix for it asap.
