My phone app is not allowing me take credit card numbers over the phone. I can only accept "Tap to Pay" which isn't helpful when I don't have the customer in front of me. Thanks for any help!

What kind of errors are you seeing when you try to manually input card numbers? As far as I know, there are no restrictions on manual entry so this would definitely be worth looking into once we know what you're seeing.
Or are you talking about the Manual Credit Card entry option isn't available on your phone anymore? If that's the case, it may have somehow been hidden or disabled. On your app, tap More -> Settings -> Checkout -> Payment. You'll see a list of all your payment types. If manual card entry is in the disabled section, that's why you can't use it. Press and hold on the six dots and drag it to the Main section.
Just putting this out there although I bet you already know: manually entering card numbers has a higher processing rate with it, and it is also one of the most insecure ways to take the card information. If a customer contests a manual entry, it is going to be seriously difficult for you to win the challenge. Best to take the card in person if that's an option.

Pretty sure you just solved my problem!! Not sure how it ended up in the disabled section?? Thank you for the information on holding it down and dragging it back. I'll get ahold of a customer later this morning and see if it worked. Thank you so much!!

I am having an issue with Manually entering card numbers at the moment - the option is there to choose, but we cannot actually type anything into the card number area..... I am able to enter on my phone, but not on the tablet POS (Samsung). Square is up to date, as is the tablet. Nothing else has changed....
