Making a payment link for a service not an item

Hi all, I run dance classes and am trying to make links to each individual class so that people can pay online. I can make a payment link for an item, but not for a service. The problem with the item link is that it puts my business address instead of the class venue address (confusing for attendees) and asks for attendees shipping address, which I don’t need. I have added each class as a service instead of an item to avoid these issues, but it won’t let me create payment links for these services - there is no option when I go to edit the service, and when I go through ‘payment links’ - ‘choose item’ it says that the payment link creation has failed. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hey there, @Oodance -

Welcome to the Community! We do have the option to create a payment link for a class or event, but it would be a custom payment link. I've added a screenshot of the steps below. Also, you can look through this Support Article for more information on setting up payment links

If this doesn't do the trick, please let me know. I am happy to circle back.

thanks for your help Kassi. I've tried the steps you outlined but for me it works as follows:

- I click on 'more' then 'payment links' from my home page.

- I click on the plus button top right to add a new payment link

- my three options under 'what type of link do you want to create?' are 'collect a payment', 'sell an item' or 'accept a donation'. There is no option to 'sell an event or class' here.

could you advise? The main problem I'm trying to avoid is that people trying to find our class venue are being directed to my home / business address, complete with a map, by their ticket confirmation.

thanks, Olly

Hi again Kassi_, I am still having problems setting up payment links for in person classes, and hope that you can help.

On my phone app, it doesn't give me the option of creating a link for an event or class, or even for a service.

Via my laptop, I can get as far as 'payment links' > 'create a link' > 'sell an event or class'.

I then choose 'in person' as I am trying to make a link for an in person dance class.

However, when I try to enter all the details, it doesn't recognise the address and won't let me enter it manually, and therefore won't let me create the link.

What shall I do? Essentially what I want to do is create a separate link per class, which people can use to book the class in advance. This should be simple but is proving anything but!

Many thanks, Olly
