Magstripe & Chip Reader Trouble Connecting to Android Phone

Hi there, today I am experiencing an issue. I have two Magstripe and Chip reader that I have used on my Samsung S7 and S9 Android phone, the last time I used it was just yesterday. But today for some reason both those readers won't connect to both of my phone. I've tried cleaning the audio jack, restart the phone, reinstall the app but it keeps struggling to establish connection. On both phone it keeps saying no internet access while the internet acces on both phone working just fine.

 

I tried to tested on an iPhone and both readers work instantly. I really have no idea what's the issue considering I was just using it yesterday on my Samsung S9 phone and it works just fine

Thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear you're having trouble with your readers. Without looking into your specific account, I'd try:

 

1) Completely closing the Square POS app

2) Make sure the app is up to date via the app store

3) Turn your phone off then on again

4) Make sure the volume is turned up (the reader communicates via the headphone jack)

5) Open the Square app (most recent version) and see if that helps!
