Android Support

I currently use an android to support my readers. No problem there.

But, I am now looking to upgrade to a store. Therefore, I need a thermal printer and cash drawer. 

I have researched this extensively,  however, I am a little lost as to what direction I should go.

A few pointers to help you understand.

It will need to support my cash draw.

It needs to be either wireless or USB.

I am thinking of uograding to a laptop using Windows. 

I know there is Epson and Star hardware available that supports.

But they cost an arm and a leg!

Can this be achieved?

Thanks for reaching out.

As a starter, note that Square's POS app and card readers won't work on PCs and laptops - you'll need a compatible mobile device. 

You could achieve what you are looking to do via both compatible iOS or Android tablets - though we'd recommend Apple for the smoothest experience. You could try our Square Stand bundle in conjunction with a compatible 9.7" iPad (sold seperately)  for a complete solution that includes a powered iPad Stand, cash drawer and USB printer (which plugs into the USB hub on the Stand).

You could also go without Square Stand and connect a compatible ethernet/wifi printer to an Android tablet wirelessly, with the cash drawer always plugging in to and being driven by the printer. If you plan on having local wifi in your store, the ethernet/wifi printers will plug in to your modem/router and talk to your tablet via the wifi network.
