Is there a way to increase the font size to assist customers? The letters and check boxes are so small that even kids feel like they have a fat thumb.

I'm wondering if you're still running the old kiosk format. If your kiosk pages look a lot like your online store pages, you are. And yes, those buttons and text boxes were impossibly small for use in a kiosk.
There was a recent update that gave the kiosk a more touch friendly format.
Sign out of the kiosk, either on the kiosk itself or by disconnecting it on the dashboard. Then delete the kiosk from the dashboard and create a new one. When you enter the new device code on the kiosk, you should see the new design and layout.

Thank you for the tip, Ryan! It did update to the new version. Unfortunately, I got a message asking me to update my kiosk settings (Dining options), which are up-to-date. I couldn't go past it even with support from an agent. I wonder if other users are experiencing similar issues.

As for the dining options, are you seeing this error on your kiosk or the dashboard?
If it's on the Kiosk, it may just be confused by your settings. Check both
Dashboard -> Items -> Settings -> Dining Options and
Dashboard -> Settings -> Device Management -> Kiosk -> Edit Settings -> Dining Options
to make sure they're both set the way you'd like.
If that's not the problem and/or the error is on your dashboard, then you have me stumped. Maybe @MayaP has some ideas??
