Item has stock but showing as 'Out of stock' on collection page only

Hi,

We're having an issue where an item is showing as Out of Stock on the collection page even though we definitely have stock when we check the admin side / backend. Oddly, it *only* shows as Out of Stock on the Collection page and is fine when you go into the product itself.

We made this change 4-5 days ago and it still hasn't updated. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Hi @MarkTeo1986,

Can you please provide the name of the item that's experiencing this issue, and a link to where you're seeing the out of stock label? When I click on all of your items that are listed as out of stock from your Shop All page, they're also marked as out of stock on the individual item pages as well.

I'll be on the lookout for your reply. 🙂

Hi, thank you for coming back to me!

The item is 'Two Farmers Hereford Hop Cheese & Onion 150g'. Ity has stock in the backend/ admin side and can be added to the cart, but on the collectoon page it shows as Out of Stock:

Any further help you could provide would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for sharing, @MarkTeo1986!

It sounds like there's a potential syncing issue at play here. Sync issues like these can often be resolved by making a few adjustments to your settings, so I'd recommend going through the below steps to make sure everything is in order before publishing your site again:

Update your Location Address

1. Sign in to your Square Dashboard, and go to Settings > Account & Settings > My business > Locations > Edit location
2. Enter your location's business address listed on this page into this Address Validation Tool, and make sure your location Address Lines 1 & 2 match Delivery Lines 1 & 2 from the tool's results, then hit save.

Update your Store Information Address

1. Navigate to Online > Online Store > Settings > General > Store Information > Edit
2. Make sure your Store Information address matches your updated Location Address, then save your changes.

Once you've successfully updated your address in both places, publish your site again to see if the item appears in stock. You may also need to clear your cache or view your site in a private browsing/incognito window to see the change take effect.

Let me know how you go with the above! 🙂

Hi,

We're based in the UK so I had to try the UK equivalent. Oddly even when I try to change the address to match exactly what it says on the Address Verification, Square just says it can't verify it!

It's odd that it only seems to happen to this one item - I think I'll try duplicating or recreating it and deleting the original if that fixes it!

Hi @MarkTeo1986, if you use this Address Validation Tool, but select International instead of United States, and copy the address listed there into your Square Dashboard, are you seeing the same result?
