Item details no longer autofills when using barcode scanner.

Using the POS register.

 

Last month I noticed a new feature - I was able to scan a new item and the product name and sometimes product details would auto-populate.

 

This is lifesaving. Seriously I could have cried when I learned about it.

 

Today, I noticed the feature appears to no longer be available. Please help me get this working again! I have restarted and still nothing.

 

Previously, there was small text under the product name field (in new item details) that read something like: use scanner to auto-fill details. click here to see more or dismiss.

 

This message is no longer there, if that detail matters at all.

This must've been a feature not ready for Public Availability yet. You will want to join our Beta Community so you can be part of the group of Sellers that get to test and define the future of Square Point of Sale, and other Square products.
