Item Management/Is it safe to delete?

Hello.

I am currently clearing a backlog of old items from our item library. We operate as a Cinema and use Square to sell tickets and refreshments. I would like to delete old items that were listed as events on our websites but are now no longer necessary to keep in our item library. My employer is concerned that deleting older items might have an adverse affect on transfers and will affect the backlog point of sale operated by Square which facilitates these transfers. I had hoped that by contacting support here, I may receive clarity on the matter. Is it safe to remove these items or would it be safer to just leave them?

Hey @CellB, welcome to the Seller Community! 

 

I can confirm that deleting items from your inventory list will not have an impact on the transfers sent to your bank account. Since you have already received the funds from your customers, no money will be withdrawn from your bank account unless a refund was requested or in the event of a chargeback, so you are safe deleting those items.
