Auto-generating sku

Hello,

I am trying to auto-generate skus for my items in my online store.

I have followed the directions to generate them, and when I go to Items & Orders>Items, and then Actions from the Drop-down menu, there is no choice to generate skus.

Which Square System do you use?  I think the auto Generate feature is just for the paid version of Square.

 

I have the Square for Retail and when I go to the same screen you did mine looks like:

As you see I have 2 more choices than you do, Print Labels and Generate SKUs.

Hi Keith,

I have the free version, and my sister does also, and it shows up on her screen, which is why we can't figure out that it isn't showing up for me.

know when you have the Free version, there is a trial period.  During the Trial Period you have full access to Square for Retail Features.  Are you both still on the Trial period?  Maybe this is something that disappears from the Free version after the Trial period.  I am just a Square user like you and just guessing at why there could be a difference.

I think that I'm well past the trial period, and that my sister would be too, as we have had Square for over a year now.  We just haven't established our online stores yet, and she is still able to auto-generate skus.

 

I'm going to just try to go ahead and do some kind of work around and see how that works for me.

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue as well. Auto Generate SKU is available for both Square Retail Free and Plus. If want more insight into the difference between the two click here. l would like to get some more information so we can get this resolved:

 

1. What web browser are you using, whatwebbrowser.com

 

2. I am sure you have tried this but sign out and back in. Still the same thing? 

 

3. Try all these browser troubleshooting steps
