Hello, when will we get the ability to have a customer name printed on a receipt? My clients need to submit their receipts to insurance companies to get reimbursed, and some insurance companies require that their names be on the receipt. At the very least, can we get a "Notes" field that we can enter names manually? We just need the printed name on the printed receipt, or the emailed receipt.
@Cielia According to Square there are 2 ways to add a name, but it is not an automatic process.
1. Enable Order Tickets:
• Go to Settings > Hardware > Printers in your Square Point of Sale app.
• Select your receipt printer and toggle on "Order Tickets."
• This setting prompts you to enter a customer name before completing the sale, which will then appear on both order tickets and printed receipts.
2. Use the Notes Field:
• Alternatively, you can add the customer's name in the "Notes" section during the transaction.
• This note will be included on the printed receipt.
@Cielia You can use the notes field on your iPhone. When you add the item, tap checkout ,then tap the item. Scroll down to the bottom and you will see Item Note, turn it on and it will go to a Notes page, enter your customers name and tap save, then tap save again. The customers name will appear under the item.

1. I tried the Order Ticket way, but there was no resulting prompt to add a customer after I enabled "Order Tickets" in the settings.
2. In the app on the phone, there is no Notes field - I can add a customer, but that only links the customer to the sale in my database, and doesn't result in the name going on the receipt. My only other options on the sale screen is to "Schedule" (for pickup.
