Issues with text messages goingto emails.

Is there a way for you to send and receive a text message without having the client respond to an automated message? We have clients who want to communicate solely through texting. Every time they text, it goes to our email and does not appear on the messages portion. If we’re going to send a text to a client with an appointment, it will not allow us to send a text, only an email. How do you have two-way messaging through this function?
