The title of this thread has been edited from the original: Is there a way to not automatically send price changes thru straight away?
So I own two bars, and prices in Australia go up twice a year with CPI. We don't necessairly get every product in straight away, and because theres several layers involved with wholesalers, it's never an exact science.
When we get an invoice, I work out the new price, and then put into squre. The issue is, I would rather it happen in a batch the next day, not as I am changeing it, so I can let staff (and customers know), I also don't want someone to buy somethin, and the next one goes up!
Thanks for your question, @ChickenRacer!
What you're describing here isn't possible, I'm afraid. In Square, price changes take effect immediately when you update them in the system.
In this case, your best option is to wait until the next morning before you start processing transactions to update these prices in bulk. This approach gives you time to inform your staff about the changes, and ensures prices will remain consistent for your entire day of trade.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help here. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Thanks for the answer. It's a pity, as most POS can. Such is thanks
Theres a lot of really basic things that Square should have and doesnt, but of course they are too busy trying to implement new features and taking away things that work. Sigh
Yes and no. I think my business is a little bit different to most, so I understand most of what are shortcomings for me.
