Is there a way to change the hyperlink colors from the Website?

When I edit my website and choose a hyperlink, the color is always blue which is not as visible so my clients won't be able to click on it and just think it's a regular text. Is there a way to change that? I can only change the "Main color" and "Accent."

Hey @mardemgofficial,

We don't offer options to change the hyperlink colors the way you're looking to do at this time.

I can see how that would be useful and I'm happy to pass your feedback along to the Online Store team.

This is actually ridiculous!  It is BASIC functionality and I too, am extremely frustrated with the ugly blue.  It is off-brand and making my site look a mess.

Is there someway to at least add custom CSS to override the link colour? Surely there has to be some way to do this?!

I too, am very disappointed that there is no option to add custom CSS! If there is and I am unaware, I would like to know as it would be life changing at this point.

I was asked to re-design a clients website on here so I am quite new to this platform. It's baffling to me that every site has an option for custom CSS except this one.

There goes the majority of my design ideas...

100% agree. I can't even comprehend how, in this day and age, I can be paying for a hosted website platform where I can't even change the colour of a hyperlink!

EVERY other platform I have worked on has limitations but they can ALL be overwritten by either CSS or HTML.

Having FULL control of the colour of your website elements is ESSENTIAL for branding and customer experience.

Given that Square specialises in providing Ecommerce, I find it I excusable that the devs don't acknowledge how important brand consistency is across platforms.

Seriously, who wants bright blue links all over your website? And what about businesses who have a blue background? That would make the links invisible.

Just crazy.

And don't even get me started on typography/font limitations.

...or Afterpay online. Grrr.

Has this ever been resolved? Some of my hyperlinks are blue italics, others are underlined in the same colour as my text, and others show up as blue italics in the editor but not on the website. This is completely ridiculous! It makes my website look unprofessional. I'm seriously thinking of switching to Shopify.

Hi @minneorganix and @Mitzi07, thank you both for following up on this post.

Are you using Weebly or Square Online ?

This feature is available with Square Online site editor. When you highlight a word or sentence to add a hyperlink to it, you're also able to change the color, or make it bold or italic:

Can you let me know if you see the same options on your editor ?

I'm using the square online editor, and I get the options to change the colour etc., but when I select a new colour it gets added to the colour palette with a line through it, and the colour won't change. The hyperlinks work in the website itself but they're the same black text as the rest of the paragraph so unless you happen to hover your cursor over the exact wording you'd never know there's a link.
