Just wondering if there is a way for public holidays to automatically appear in Square shifts/rosters?
Hi @chilternbutcher,
Great question!
Square doesn't currently offer an integrated feature to automatically add public holidays to rosters or schedules.
However, you can manually adjust your staff schedules to account for public holidays by:
1. Manually adjusting shifts: You can manually update your employees' schedules to reflect public holidays by removing shifts or marking them as unavailable.
2. Add a note or block: You could create a note within the schedule for a specific day to inform your staff that it's a public holiday or mark it as "unavailable."

Thanks Laurie. I obviously don’t roster staff these days but would be interested to create a note…how do I do this???
Ah, got it, @chilternbutcher!
Unfortunately, the option to add a note appears when you create a shift for a team member. This would work well if you want to schedule staff to work on the public holiday while ensuring they are aware of the holiday hours. To my knowledge, there isn’t another way to add a note without first creating a shift.
