Is there a way to add links to Facebook, Google and Yelp reviews in invoice emails?

I'm trying to increase my reviews and was wondering how people are doing it if it's possible? I know there are custom fields in the invoices. Is that where people put them? How exactly? Like can you include links... will they even work? Or are you just soliciting people in the text you include on the invoices?

I know that Square automatically has a feedback link but honestly I don't find it very useful since I doubt it's public-facing.

I would love for a list of social media links for customers to click on and add a review to be included in the emails customers get when they've paid for my services.

(BTW I do not really have "products", I'm a custom framing shop and so I'm really providing a service... I want the reviews to be about my shop, and not specific products so I don't want reviews to specific "items")

Hello @LowellGallery2,

Thank you for being a member of the Community.

You can add a link to the message field when creating a new invoice at no additional charge. Please refer to the screenshot below.

However, if you'd like a custom field, you'll need to upgrade to our Square Invoices Plus. You can learn more about creating custom invoice fields with Square here.

Hello @LowellGallery2 !

You are correct that the feedback links in receipts only show to you internally. There isn't a way to have your customer use the feedback links to make public reviews.

However, I highly recommend checking out the Review Us on Google automated marketing email. If your customer gives you a positive feedback or purchases multiple times from you, they will get an email asking for their review with a link to your Google Business Page. When I set this up, I saw 50 new Google reviews in the first month. I haven't played with customizing the email yet, but I do believe you could customize this email to include links to the other review sites as well.

You may need to upgrade your marketing plan to access this, but I highly encourage it. There are quite a few automated emails you can access: between the Lapsed Customer, First Time Customer, and Google Review automations, I have made far more than I've paid into the upgraded plan.
