Is there a delay on international card approvals?

I processed an international card from Australia. The card was declined, but several minutes later my client from Australia emailed me saying he just got notification from his bank and approved the

charge, should I wait to hear from Square on this?

Thanks for posting in the Seller Community.

 

Sometimes when cards are declined by payment processors (Square), the charge still shows up on the customer's end as pending. It's usually corrected in the next 1-3 business days. I would confirm with your customer if the charge says pending or successful. This goes for US and International.
